Concern of the Month

Christmas Baskets

Good Shepherd will once again be collecting food items for the less fortunate this Christmas.  Food item tags will be able to be picked up in the Gathering Space. All food items are due to the church by December 18th.  We will shop, pack and assemble food baskets on Saturday, December 21st at 9:00am.

Crafts & Conversation

Our First Annual Chili Cook-off will take place on Tuesday, December 10th beginning at 6pm. There will be a sign-up sheet coming soon, for chili and dessert. We will vote for the best chili in several categories, like traditional, non-traditional, or vegetarian. If you are not good with chili, do a great dessert, and we will vote on those also. This will be a great evening of food and fun. Afterwards we’ll gather in the sanctuary for a program of dramatic readings from Mary, a couple shepherds, a shop keeper and others as they share their experiences about Christmas and the birth of Jesus. We will join together to sing some carols along with the readings.

We have begun a second Crafts & Conversation each month. We will get together at 10 in the Library on the THIRD FRIDAY (12/20) and the LAST MONDAY (12/30) of this month. Come to one or both. Bring your own project and come to enjoy the conversation!

We are once again saving receipts from Acme to help with the 2020 Summer Lunch Program. Please save your receipts and ask your friends and family. Just put them in the blue plastic container in the narthex.
